Thrift stores seek donations

The thrift stores of St. Vincent de Paul Chicago are seeking donations of household items, such as pots and pans, dishes, microwaves small appliances, electronics, furniture, clothing and shoes. All donated items should be gently used, clean and in working condition. Many of the donated goods go toward an emergency voucher program where individuals and families are offered goods at no cost in a confidential and dignified way. St. Vincent provides various forms of assistance to the poor and those in need in Cook and Lake counties. It operates three thrift stores, including at 1125 S. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville.
