Bulls eliminated from summer league
Rookie forward Bobby Portis piled up 25 points and 15 rebounds, but the Bulls summer league squad was eliminated with a 91-84 loss to Phoenix on Saturday in Las Vegas.
The Bulls gave Doug McDermott and Cameron Bairstow the night off.
Guard Randy Galloway added 16 points for the Bulls, while Chicago native Darrell Williams grabbed 13 rebounds. The Bulls finished the summer league with a 3-3 record. McDermott averaged 18.8 points and shot 48 percent from the field in the first five games.
Second-year forward T.J. Warren scored 31 points for the Suns, who moved on to face New Orleans in the playoff semifinals.
