Des Plaines records requests now can be made online

The public can now submit Freedom of Information Act requests to the city of Des Plaines online. A new software system designed to electronically generate and track the requests for public documents went live on the city's website, desplaines.org, on Wednesday. The system allows people to submit their requests from personal computers, though requests can still be made by mail, fax, or in person. The online system tracks all of the requests in one place.
