Huntley library launches summer reading programs

The Huntley Area Public Library, 11000 Ruth Road, offers a variety of activities for the 2015 Summer Reading program. For details, call (847) 669-5386 or visit www.huntleylibrary.org.

Read on the Wild Side: Those age 18 and older are invited to join Adult Summer Reading Program. Registration begins June 10, at the library or online. Participants receive a $2 Friends Foundation gift certificate for Corner Books.

Wild About Reading: Teen Summer Reading Club for students in seventh through 12 grades. Gambol, side wind, soar or undulate over to the library or the website and sign up for the teen summer reading club. Track your reading this summer for chances to earn prizes. Registration is required.

Summer Reading A to Zoo: Program for children birth through sixth grade. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Wednesday June 10. Read for fun and prizes. Pick up your reading log and Randall Oaks coupon in the Children's Wing to get started.

Registration events include Kona Ice at the library from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 10-11. Sign up for summer reading and enjoy a summer treat.

The Friends Foundation earns a percentage of all sales. The Friends Foundation sponsors all library programs, including summer reading programs for all ages.

During the registration event June 10-11, the Friends will distribute folders so summer reading participants can keep their logs and coupons in one place.
