Bergmann Memorial Fund Dedicated to Log Cabin Park Improvements

Friday, June 26, at 10:00 AM, a memorial will be dedicated to Dorothy Bergmann, longtime Lombard resident, at the Lombard Park District's Log Cabin. The cabin is located at South Main St. at E. 16 th St., between Roosevelt Rd. (IL 38. The Bergmann Memorial Fund includes contributions from the Lombard Garden Club and the Lombard Woman's Club donated as memorial gifts in Bergmann's name. The Log Cabin was very special to the Bergmann family since Dorothy's son's Eagle Project was part of the Boy Scout troop that created the totem pole in the park area surrounding the cabin. With the donated funds, the Lombard Park District plans to build a water fountain and renovate the totem pole. They began landscaping last fall by planting perennials around the cabin. There will be a plaque mounted to honor the Bergmann's family donation. Call 630-620-4789 for information.
