Three days after hitting a pair of home runs, including a grand slam, Andrew Hill showed off his arm in a 3-1 win over Lake Zurich in North Suburban Lake Division action Tuesday.

Hill lost his bid at a perfect game in the seventh inning but still recorded his first no-hitter of the season. Warren (18-8, 6-3) committed 2 errors in the seventh, and Hill surrendered a walk.

Hill, a Bradley-bound right-hander, struck out 15 batters.

Michael Rosenberg (2-for-3) and Jake Falish (double) paced the Blue Devils offensively.

Wauconda 4, Vernon Hills 2: Kevin Malisheski earned the win in the North Suburban Prairie contest, striking out nine over 6 innings.

Vernon Hills threatened in each of the first four innings but had nothing on the scoreboard to show for it. Malisheski pitched out of bases-loaded jams in both the second and third innings.

Trevor Sefcik was 2-for-2 for Wauconda.

Wauconda scored all of its runs in the top of the fourth. Vernon Hills dropped a popup in shallow right field due to a miscommunication.

The Cougars clawed back by scoring 2 runs on hits from Joey Marras (2-for-4), Jack Duffley (1-for-4) and Matt Paszko (1-for-3, RBI). Brennan Reback (1-for-3) and Connor McNamara (1-for-3) also had hits in the losing effort.
