Bethlehem Lutheran hosts rummage sale May 7-9

Bethlehem Lutheran Church will hold its annual rummage sale from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday, May 7; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, May 8, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at the church, Fourth and Main streets in West Dundee. There will be a bag sale on Saturday only.

The rummage sale is more than just the run-of-the-mill rummage sale. It is a community event. It is one of the best rummage sales in the area because of all of the hard work to put everything out in an orderly fashion.

The neighborhood not only shops at the rummage sale, but they look forward to visiting with others who attend the event.

At the sale, there are three areas to shop. The first is the big room, the second is the upscale room, the third is the garage.

In the big room, there will be books, toys, clothes, dishes, shoes, hats, handbags and more. The second room will feature jewelry, paintings, antiques, collectibles and specialty items. In the garage, there will lounge chairs, desks, beds, sleds, fishing gear and more outdoor items.

Since this is one of the first rummage sales of the season a big turnout is expected.
