EAST MAINE DISTRICT 63 EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER OFFERS FREE DEVELOPMENTAL SCREENINGS TO DISTRICT RESIDENTS

District 63's Early Childhood Center will offer free developmental screenings for children from birth - 36 months old who live in the District on Thursday, May 14, 10 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. Screenings will take place at Melzer Elementary School, 9400 North Oriole, Morton Grove.

East Maine School District 63's Early Childhood Education Center serves more than 200 children annually through programs for at-risk and special needs children, and a general tuition-based community program. The District serves a diverse population of more than PreK-8th grade 3,600 students who live in portions of Des Plaines, Niles, Glenview, Park Ridge, and Morton Grove in its six elementary schools and junior high. More than 65 languages are spoken within the district; approximately 80 percent of the students come from homes in which a language other than English is spoken. District 63 is an inclusive district, offering a full range of services for academic, social, emotional, and physical growth - including cutting edge special education and ESL/bilingual programs. Together, all students strive to reach their full potential with the help of the District's highly skilled staff.
