Ceremony at Wauconda Area Library

Wauconda Area Library officials and patrons will celebrate the recent completion of a $2 million renovation project Saturday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and other activities. Events begin at 9:30 a.m. at the library, 801 N. Main St. Tours, a 1 p.m. choir performance and other activities are planned. The bulk of the renovation focused on the downstairs children's department, which now has new computers, reading areas and play areas. The main level received a new digital classroom, high-tech study rooms and a lab for digital projects.
