Lauret delivers as Libertyville tops Lakes

Jessie Lauret is known more for her speed, ability to slap-hit and drive the softball and serve as a catalyst at the top of Libertyville's batting order.

Lauret, who's committed to Purdue, pitched 2 effective innings in relief.

"Jessie did a great job coming in and changing the tone of the game," coach Elissa Wisniewski said after her Wildcats improved to 10-3. "Lakes was getting in a rhythm and Jess came out and did a great job of hitting her spots and changing speeds."
