Belvidere North 5, Hampshire 2: Peyton DeChant was 2-for-4 with a triple and 2 RBI in Hampshire's season-opening nonconference loss. Haley Widmayer allowed 8 hits and had 5 strikeouts and no walks in suffering the loss in the circle for the Whip-Purs.
Hoffman Estates 12, Elgin 4: The Maroons had 10 hits but committed 5 errors in losing this nonconference game. Destiny West (2-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI), Madison Latham (2 RBI), Sabrina Stockman (2-for-4, 2B) and Jenna Lombardo (2-for-4) led the Elgin offense. Stockman suffered the loss in the circle for the Maroons (0-2).
Streamwood 27, IMSA 3: Jessica Daley was 5-for-5 with 3 doubles and 6 RBI to lead the Sabres (1-0) to a win in nonconference play in their season opener. Also contributing to the Streamwood offense were Emily Unthank (3-for-5, 3B, 5 RBI), Becky Roncone (3-for-5, 2 doubles, 3 RBI), Nijal Desai (2B), Rebecca Daley (2B) and Andrea Rodriguez (3B). Jessica Daley and Rebecca Daley combined for the win in the circle for the Sabres.
