Antioch hits past Cary-Grove
Jessica Tyrell and Annie Wagner each doubled twice, and Antioch's softball team pounded out 16 hits in beating host Cary-Grove 10-2 Wednesday.
The Sequoits (1-1) also got 2 hits each from Hannah Skoog, Ashley Stephens, Jill Everett and winning pitcher Stephanie Bonaguidi.
Madeline Hart and Jill Foote added doubles, while Skoog and Stephens tripled.
Bonaguidi pitched all 7 innings, allowing 1 earned run.
Lakes 15, Woodstock 0: The visiting Eagles opened their season with a five-inning win.
The top four hitters in Lakes' lineup - Rachel Becker, Ashly Horner, Cassidy Schaar and Ally Perdue - each went 3-for-5.
"We hit the ball hard," coach Bill Hamill said.
Perdue earned the win.
