Believe Project: $100 for food, supplies at animal shelter

Today's recipient of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Barbara Brown of Arlington Heights.

Here is an excerpt of her suggestion:

“I have read all the articles about who is getting the money but haven't seen any about animals.

“My sister and I have spent a lot of time and money with animal shelters and have fostered hundreds of kittens until they are old enough to be adopted.

“Shelters are always in need of money to buy food and supplies and upkeep, especially in winter. I would give the money to Save-A-Pet in Grayslake. They do so much for the animals and even take in ones that are not adoptable because of medical conditions.”

• The Believe Project mails a $100 bill each day to someone with a good idea for how to use it to do a good deed for someone else.
