Sometimes things happen because of divine coincidence

"This miraculous sign will occur tomorrow." Exodus 8:30 (NIV)

God's hand is at work in everything we do. So why do we chalk things up to coincidence? Are they coincidences or miraculous signs? What do you choose to believe?

God instructed the Israelites in Exodus 8:30 about the plagues that were about to occur resulting in their deliverance. He was warning them, this was not happening by mere coincidence.

I once experienced what could have been a coincidence. I was getting low on Angel stationery for my writing ministry and my funds were running out. As I saw my paper dwindling down to the last few sheets, I started to pray, "God send me some angel paper."

But, in reality, I thought, "How is that going to happen?"

Later, I remembered my friend sharing with me that she had some angel envelopes for me. I thought, "God, is it possible you are telling me that she is sending me some angel paper?"

The next day the postal worker delivered a large white envelope. It was from my friend. She sent me a package of angel envelopes and paper. A note accompanied it saying, "Sorry it took so long to send these. I've had them for about a year."

She was sorry for holding on to them for so long. Little did she realize that she sent them to me at just the right time.

I wondered what moved my friend to send the stationery at that point and time. I'm sure whatever she felt was a prompt from God.

I prefer to look at the glory of God in my life. I choose to see things that happen, great and small, not as mere coincidence, but as something more divine. I consider instances like these as divine coincidences.
