Lake Villa baseball, softball:
The Lake Villa Township Baseball League hosts a walk-in registration Sunday, Feb. 8, 1 to 4:30 p.m. at the Lake Villa Library, 1001 East Grand Ave. Registration is for the spring 2015 season. Boys baseball has openings at T-ball ages 5 and 6, Pinto ages 7 and 8, Mustang ages 9 and 10, Bronco ages 11 and 12, Pony ages 13 and 14, and Colt ages 15 and 16. Softball registration is open for girls in the 8u, 10u, 12u, 14, 16u and 20u leagues. The cost for each league can be viewed at the Lake Villa Township Baseball League website at lvtb.org. Practices for the upcoming season begins April 1, with games beginning May 1. Anyone with questions should email league President Dave May at may_dj@comcast.net.
