DuPage Children's Museum could reopen next month

The DuPage Children's Museum in Naperville is expected to reopen next month after a burst pipe caused major water damage.

The Chicago Tribune reports (http://trib.in/1E0vbOo ) the museum was forced to close Friday.

Dee Dee McDevitt is director of marketing and sales for the museum. She says a pipe along an exterior wall on the second floor burst. It caused water damage on that level as well as the main floor and a lower level. Employees who showed up to work on Friday found water flowing out the front door.

But repairs are underway, and the museum is tentatively expected to reopen on Feb. 8.

Officials say that date could change if more extensive repairs are needed.
