Nominating petitions ready for Wauconda Park District hopefuls
Nominating petitions are available for anyone interested in running for three seats on the five-member Wauconda Park District board in the April 7, 2015 election. A potential candidate must be a registered voter and a Wauconda Park District resident for at least one year before Election Day. Petition packets are available for pick up at the Wauconda Park District Community Center, 600 N. Main St., Wauconda. A minimum of 36 signatures are required to be placed on the ballot. Nomination papers can be filed starting Monday, Dec. 15, through Monday, Dec. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
