Charities invited to grant-writing workshop in Barrington

The Barrington Area Community Foundation will host a workshop to explain the grant process for 2015 at 4 p.m. Nov. 12, in the Zimmerman Room of the Barrington Area Library, 505 N. Northwest Highway.

Area charities are invited to send one or more representatives to learn about how to apply for a grant. The Barrington Area Community Foundation has given out about $1.1 million to more than 60 charities since 2000. The organization anticipates its 2015 grant total to by $175,000.
