Woodland Middle band performance

Woodland Middle School's band students will host a special performance for members of the Warren Township Senior Center at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 31 at the school, 7000 Washington St., Gurnee. The Woodland Elementary District 50 school board adopted a new strategic plan in April that includes five goals: student learning, finance, internal community, external community and technology. Establishing connections with senior citizens, Spanish-speaking families and businesses was identified as a focus of the external community goal. "The concert will provide members of the Warren Township Senior Center the opportunity to see Woodland Middle School, listen to our band students perform and get a brief overview of some of the activities that teachers and students are involved in each day," said Assistant Principal Tiffany Drake.
