Color the Town Pink in Deer Park

On Saturday, Oct. 11, help Color the Town Pink in Deer Park in support of breast cancer research and prevention.

Join the Daily Herald at Deer Park Town Center for a day of pink fun and awareness, and see Deer Park Town Center covered in pink.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to noon at the center gazebo. Check-in begins at 9:45 a.m. near the Lucy store. The event will be held rain or shine.

Activities will include:

• 60-minute high-energy yoga by Core Power Yoga

• Yoga fashion show by Gap Yoga, Lululemon and Lucy

• Pink hair extensions by Avalon Salon (donation required)

• Mammacare instruction in Breast Self-Exam and breast health information by Alexian Brothers Health System

• Healthy activities for families and kids by Alexian Brothers Health System

• Family fun including balloon twisting and face painting

Register in advance online ($10 donation) in order to receive the official Color the Town Pink T-shirt. Also, the first 250 guests to check in at the event will receive a Color the Town Pink tote bag filled with goodies.

All proceeds will benefit Alexian Brother's Cancer Institute and Bright Pink, a nonprofit organization focusing on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women, while providing support for high-risk individuals.
