Aurora man sentenced for threatening judge

Jurors found a 27-year-old Aurora man guilty of threatening a Cook County judge, court records show.

A Cook County judge sentenced him Tuesday to two years in prison, according to court records. He received credit for 533 days in custody.

On March 7, 2013, a caller left a voice mail on an assistant public defender's phone at a Chicago courthouse indicating he wanted to take revenge on the judge who presided over his case, Cook County sheriff's police said.

Sheriff's investigators determined the call came from a cellphone belonging to Wood, who sheriff's police say was sentenced to 18 months probation in 2011 for making threatening phone calls to a corporation.
