3 charged in shooting death outside Chicago club
Three people were charged with murder in the shooting death of man outside a Chicago nightclub.
Chicago police announced Monday that 19-year-old Deandre Hughes and 23-year-old Bianca Young face first-degree and attempted murder charges in the Aug. 3 death of 31-year-old Martrell Ross and the wounding of another man. An unidentified juvenile has also been charged with murder.
A judge ordered Hughes held without bail. Bail for Young, who authorities allege was the getaway driver, was set at $1 million.
Prosecutors say Ross and a 21-year-old acquaintance were leaning against a parked car belonging to Hughes and a fight ensued. Ross was shot eight times and pronounced dead at the scene. The acquaintance survived a chest wound.
It wasn't immediately known if the defendants have legal representation.
