Dist. 59 to host back-to-school event
A back-to-school celebration for Elk Grove Township Elementary District 59 families is scheduled for Saturday at Grove Junior High School.
The event will feature demonstrations by BMX Champion Matt Wilhelm, a karate demonstration by American Tiger Karate, a giant inflatable obstacle course, inflatable slide, table games and music by DJ "Quick Mix" Mike. A fire engine will also be on site. Free hot dogs and chips will be available.
The event is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The school is located at 777 Elk Grove Blvd. in Elk Grove Village.
