Man reported missing in Elgin

The Elgin Police Department is asking for help in locating a man who went missing earlier today.

Terrence Ivery, 25, was last seen at about noon Friday at his residence on the 600 block of Packard Drive in Elgin, Deputy Chief Bill Wolf said in a news release.

Ivery, who walks with a limp, has a history of leaving home without notifying family members, who reported him missing, police said. He has been known to travel by train into Chicago.

He is described as African-American, 6-feet-3 inches tall, weighing about 225 lbs. He was last seen wearing a blue or black T-shirt and blue or black shorts.

Anyone with information about Ivery's whereabouts is asked to call the Elgin Police Department's nonemergency number at (847) 289-2700.
