Ruling is not about 'war on women'

The Democrats' reaction to the Supreme Court's decision to protect the Hobby Lobby owner's freedom of religion shows how low they will go to fan the flames of the phony "war on woman." First, Hobby Lobby had no problem with contraceptives and willingly paid for 16 of the 20 forms of contraception for their employees for years.

Hobby Lobby had a moral issue in that four of the 20 contraceptives mandated by the government can be used as abortion pills that end the life of a fertilized egg. Their religious belief is that paying for those four methods is a mortal sin and they could not do so. The Supreme Court protected Hobby Lobby's freedom of religion.

Nancy Pelosi is a perfect example of the Democrats' wacko reaction when she called the Supreme Court decision "an outrageous step against woman." Really? She is confused at best, lying at worst. Hobby Lobby employees can get these contraceptives from thousands of drugstores for as little as $9 dollars a month all across the nation. As the WSJ says, "Declining to force someone to pay for something is not the same as banning it."

Where in the Constitution does it say that people can be forced to break their religious beliefs by forcing them to pay for contraception or abortion pills for woman? Just like we can't force religious pacifists to join the Army, we can't force religious people to pay for abortion pills. The Democrats' hysterical reaction to the Supreme Court decision is simply an attempt to create irrational fear and hate with woman to encourage them to vote Democrat. Let's hope that logic, reason and respect for religious freedom beat hate and hysteria with woman voters!
