Dense fog advisory in Chicago area

The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a dense fog advisory until 9 a.m.

People living near the lake will see heavier fog than others, and visibility will be less than one quarter mile.

Travelers are urged to use additional caution near the lake, slow down and use their headlights.

The fog is expected to lift by 9 a.m. Temperatures are expected to reach 73 degrees this afternoon, but a 40 percent of thunderstorms. Temperatures will dip back to 57 degrees tonight.
