Rosemont Public Safety Department deputy chiefs sworn in

Two deputy chiefs promoted within Rosemont's public safety department have been formally sworn in.

The oath-taking at Wednesday's village board meeting by Deputy Chief John Aichinger, who heads the Bureau of Administration, and Deputy Chief Kevin Kukulka, who heads the Bureau of Patrol, follows a restructuring of the department approved last month by the board.

Aichinger and Kukulka report to Public Safety Chief Donald E. Stephens III, who is now the department's top cop following the retirement of his father, former Superintendent Donald E. Stephens II, in February.

A third deputy chief who reports to Stephens III, William Schuster, was sworn in previously in a separate ceremony. He is in charge of the Bureau of Fire Suppression.
