Instead of prisoners, let's swap presidents

Like many Americans, I question the logic of trading five terrorists for one captive in Afghanistan. I suggest an exchange that does make sense. Let us trade President Obama for President Karzai. Granted, Mr. Karzai is a dishonest, incompetent and weak leader with a penchant for undermining his allies and kowtowing to his enemies. An even exchange so far.

Looking at the bright side of this trade, President Karzai is due to leave office within a month, President Obama in two years - that's a win for America. The first family can go to a country where Mr. Obama can fight against a real war on women, and the first lady can worry less about badgering a nation of overweight kids about what they eat and concentrate, instead, on if they eat.

If the Afghanis complain that they got a five-for-one deal before, we can throw in a couple of Clintons. After all, the main job in Afghanistan is to beg other people for money - and no one is better at that than the Clintons.

Finally, I doubt that even Gov. Quinn would suggest that Illinois spend $100 million we do not have on a presidential library for Mr. Karzai! It would be a win-win exchange for all.
