Wisconsin DNR offers waste guide
MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is offering contractors and construction firms a new guide on handling hazardous materials during demolition.
The guide is a step-by-step checklist for identifying and evaluating hazardous waste, recyclables and other waste during construction and remodeling work. The guide is available for free on the DNR's website.
Agency officials say remodelers and builders should use the checklist to identify and dispose of hazardous materials prior to demolition.
