Chicago man convicted in 5 shooting deaths
A jury has convicted a Chicago man of murder in the 2008 killings of five people found shot execution-style in the head after a robbery at a home on the city's South Side.
Torolan Williams was found guilty Thursday evening of five counts of first-degree murder and armed robbery. Three men, a woman and a teenage girl were killed in the April 23, 2008, slayings. The 28-year-old Williams faces life in prison.
Two others also are accused in the crimes, 33-year-old Michael King and 31-year-old Arthur Brown. King is to go to trial July 1. Prosecutors say Brown has pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree murder and agreed to testify against his co-defendants.
Prosecutors say money, jewelry and televisions were stolen among other valuables.
