Montgomery Troop 34 welcomes latest Scout to earn Eagle rank

Eric Biegalski of Boy Scout Troop 34 recently achieved of the rank of Eagle Scout. His parents are Paul and Louise Biegalski of Montgomery. The sophomore attends Yorkville High School.

While in the Boy Scouts, Eric received the highest award, the Arrow of Light. He led and managed the collection of 107 backpacks filled with school supplies donated from family, friends, Troop 34 Scouts and families, local businesses, and the community. The backpack supplies for preschoolers were delivered to the Two Rivers Head Start agencies in Aurora, Yorkville and Morris.

Eric started as a Webelos Scout in 2007 and crossed over into Boy Scout Troop 34 in 2009. He served as assistant patrol leader, den chief, troop scribe, troop librarian, and patrol leader.

Eric plans to attend college and get a degree in criminal justice/law enforcement. He enjoys waterfowl hunting, fishing, canoeing, golfing and rock climbing.
