Renovations coming to Rosemont Convention Center

Renovations are coming to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont as part of a multiyear facility improvement project.

The village board this week approved a $734,480 contract to upgrade a pedway between the east garage and Williams Street garage that will include renovated floors, walls and ceiling, officials said.

The board also approved a $169,609 contract with Orange Crush LLC to repair cracking pavement on the ground floor of the east garage.

Officials are eyeing a total of $4.5 million in renovations to the convention center, including upgrades to the north ballroom and concession areas throughout the facility. Aramark Sports and Entertainment Services, the facility's concessions vendor, is providing $2.5 million of the funds.
