School just a push for unionization

In response to Georgia Lynn Carrasco's letter "Democrats are doing something about jobs," what Dick Durbin is doing has already been done all over the country. Democrats with their high taxes and unions have driven manufacturing out of the country and now slap themselves on the back in opening a school to teach manufacturing skills?

Most people I have encountered learned their manufacturing skills on the job - taught whatever type of skills they needed by someone actually doing the job. Health care education? There are nursing schools and colleges all over the country with nursing programs so that education is already being done. Information technology education? Well, there are tech schools all over the country and colleges that offer technology education, so that's already being done. And I'm sure there are tech schools teaching clean energy implementation as well.

All I see that this school is being created for is to push unionization. It surely points out that even though we already have all this type of education all over the place, the politicians just can't resist adding more government programs even though we don't need them.

If this school is being touted as something we really need, well, that just tells me that the education system we already have is not doing the job.
