Teen facing Chicago gun charge under house arrest
A Cook County judge has ordered a teenager placed on house arrest after he was arrested on gun charges in a 14-year-old girl's shooting death.
The Chicago Sun-Times reported Thursday that a judge ordered the 17-year-old placed on electronic monitoring and be allowed to leave home only for school, doctor's appointments and church. The teen held the gun that was used to kill Endia Martin, authorities allege. He is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and other charges. His name has not been released because he was charged as a juvenile.
A second teen and her uncle are charged with murder. Prosecutors say the girl pulled the trigger and the man supplied her with the gun. A number of others face lesser charges.
