Max Custer pitched a 3-hitter with 8 strikeouts and no walks as the Mustangs (14-8, 10-5) won their fifth straight in the Upstate Eight Conference. P.J. Archey and Mike Sfikas drove in 2 runs and Gunner Vega went 2-for-3.

Waubonsie Valley 5, Bartlett 4:

The Warriors (16-5, 12-2) trailed 4-1 until they broke through for 4 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and pulled out the Upstate Eight Conference victory. A wild pitch allowed Luke Marzano, who went 2-for-3, to score the go-ahead run. Zack Bennema picked up the win in relief of Nick Drago.

Naperville North 8, West Chicago 4:

The Huskies (9-11) scored 5 runs in the second inning to take command of the nonconference game. Ryan Krainz, who drove in 2 runs, Dan Riley, Alex Garon and Jake Smith had 2 hits. Connor Johannes was the winning pitcher. Grant Hosticka went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI for West Chicago (9-14) while Austin Kordik went 2-for-2.
