Softball: DuPage County roundup Wednesday, May 7

Willowbrook 10, Morton 6:

A 6-run second inning lifted Willowbrook past Morton. Zoe Dannenberg scored 2 runs and drove in 2 runs, and heyenne Brunig added 3 RBI for the Warriors. Delaney Pelsor was the winning pitcher.

IC Catholic Prep 7, Rosary 0:

The Knights broke open a scoreless game with a 5-run sixth inning. Jessica Conenna (11-8) threw a 1-hit shutout for the victory in Aurora. Anjella Farmer was 3-for-4 with 3 RBI for ICCP (16-11, 7-6 Suburban Christian Conference Blue Division).

Metea Valley 4, West Chicago 2:

Jenna Hall threw a complete game for the Mustangs, striking out eight and walking one. Both West Chicago runs were unearned. Monica Jauch and Becca Fattes each had 2 RBI for the Mustangs.

Wheaton Academy 10, Guerin 0:

Freshman Andi Pivaronas threw a five-inning 1-hitter, walking one and striking out six. Shortstop Marissa Gagliano went 3-for-3 with a double and 3 runs scored. Catcher Jessica Bosse was 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI for the Warriors (11-7, 7-4 Suburban Christian Conference Gold Division).

Wheaton North 5, WW South 4:

Maggie Will hit a double and Kelly Thornton had a triple in the Falcons' DuPage Valley Conference victory. Amanda Mordacq was the winning pitcher. Jenny Harkabus went 2-for-3 with 2 runs and 2 RBI for the Tigers.

Naperville Central 4, Lake Park 1:

Pitcher Keegan Hayes got the win, allowing just 3 hits. Dena Guthrie hit a solo home run for Lake Park in the seventh inning of the DuPage Valley Conference game.

Montini 3, Chicago Christian 0:

Pitcher Lauren Trojnar struck out nine and allowed three hits for the win.
