Lady Antebellum, DeWyze among acts for RiverEdge's second season

Grammy-Award winning country trio Lady Antebellum and "American Idol" winner Lee DeWyze are among the acts playing RiverEdge Park in Aurora this summer.

City officials on Thursday announced the second season lineup of the outdoor concert venue, located at 360 N. Broadway in Aurora.

The season opens June 27 with the 18th Annual Blues on the Fox festival, a two-day event featuring guitarist Jimmie Vaughan, Los Lonely Boys and Taj Mahal along with guitarists Joe Louis Walker and Tab Benoit.

Mount Prospect native DeWyze opens the July 5 show featuring alternative rock headliners 10,000 Maniacs. That's followed on July 6 by the Under the Sun Tour with pop and roots rockers Uncle Kracker, Sugar Ray and Blues Traveler.

The platinum-selling Lady Antebellum plays Aug. 7.

Closing out the season is Jennifer Nettles, one-half of the country duo Sugarland.

Tickets for Blues on the Fox, Lee DeWyze and 10,000 Maniacs and other summer events, including the Fourth of July Celebration, the Puerto Rican Heritage Festival and the Wisconsin Beer and Cheese Tour, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, May 2. Tickets for Lady Antebellum, the Under the Sun Tour with Uncle Kracker, Sugar Ray and Blues Traveler and Jennifer Nettles go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 6.
