Gutke keys gutty Antioch win

Antioch rallied in the bottom of the seventh to get a 7-6 come-from-behind victory against Wauconda on Wednesday in North Suburban Prairie baseball action.

Ben Gutke drove in Christian Norris for the winning run.

Gutke had 3 of Antioch's 9 hits while Travis Slywka and Norris each had 2 hits. Collin Prather got the pitching victory in relief. Collin Schrader had 3 hits for Wauconda.

Lakes 11, Round Lake 1: Powered by 10 hits, Lakes zipped past Round Lake in North Suburban Conference Prairie Division play. Joe Sisk and Justin Corona each had 2 hits for the Eagles. Pitcher Matt Nordlund got his first win of the season after striking out 4 batters in four innings.

Vernon Hills 13, North Chicago 0: On Senior Day, Ryan Erchinger earned the win for Vernon Hills by going four innings and allowing just 2 hits while striking out 6 batters. Mickey Skinner had 3 hits for Vernon Hills, including a triple and a double. Teammates Jacob Feece, Andrew Willey, Elliot Fisher and Stephen Levine all had multiple hits for the Cougars.

Richmond-Burton 7, Grant 5: Despite a home run from Will Zitkus, Grant dropped its nonconference game against Richmond-Burton. It was just the second loss of the season for Grant (14-2). Simeon Lucas added a double for the Bulldogs.
