Brambora's no-hitter paces Glenbard South

Glenbard South 6, Highlands, Ky. 1:

Dylan Brambora pitched a no-hitter with 6 strikeouts and 3 walks for the Raiders (2-1) in South Carolina. Glenbard South rallied from a 1-0 first-inning deficit as Erik Schuchardt drove in 3 runs.

Downers North 5, Glenbard East 2:

The Trojans (2-1) trailed 2-1 after five innings but then tied it in the sixth and scored twice in the top of the seventh to take the lead for good. Ray Greco and Joe Provenzano each went 3-for-4 with 2 runs scored while Myles Farley drove in 2 runs. Tommy Mogavero went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI for Glenbard East (3-4).

Wheaton Academy 5, Joba Academy, Fla. 3:

The Warriors (2-1) broke a 3-3 tie by scoring twice in the bottom of the fifth. Chris Johnson and winning pitcher Luke Kram each had 2 hits.

Addison Trail 13, Romeoville 0:

A 7-run fourth inning powered the Blazers (1-1) to the road victory. Zack Dowz went 3-for-5 with 3 RBI. Jaime Valdez also drove in 3 runs while Joey Zucchero added 2 RBI. Mike Rybarczyk went the distance.

Benet 4, York 3:

The Redwings (2-2) scored in the bottom of the fifth on Chris Whelan's RBI double to pull out the victory. Whelan went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles while Matt Emerick won on the mound. Seth Dvorak went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI for York (0-4)

Lisle 14, Hinckley-Big Rock 6:

Bailey Welch sparked the offensive explosion for the Lions (4-2) by going 3-for-4 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Cliff Krause went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI and Christian Grego also drove in 3 runs. Winning pitcher Alec Van Vokenburg struck out eight in 6 innings.

Downers South 12, Bryan Station, Ky. 1:

Joey Engel, who drove in 3 runs, Ryan Taylor and Anthony Metz each homered for the Mustangs (1-1) in Kentucky. Danny Oriente went 3-for-4. Zac Taylor pitched into the fifth inning to notch the win.

St. Francis 8, Shiocton, Wis. 0:

Michael O'Keefe, who struck out seven, and Jake Radel combined on a 2-hitter for the Spartans (4-1) in Florida. Jason Sullivan, who homered and drove in 4 runs, Zach Prociuk, Chris Smith and Reid Connolly had 2 hits apiece.

St. Francis 15, Elgin Academy 2:

The Spartans (4-1) received home runs from Jake Radel and Nick Dama, and Theo Lamperis drove in 4 runs in the six-inning victory in Florida. T.J. Jackson went 3-for-5 and scored 3 times. Reid Connolly allowed just a hit in 4 innings to pick up the win.

Glenbard West 5, Letcher County, Ky. 3:

Alex Martenson, Spencer Refer, Trevor Hamilton and Teague Moriarty had 2 hits apiece for the Hilltoppers (3-2), who rallied from a 3-2 deficit by scoring twice in the fourth and once in the sixth. Four pitchers combined on the mound for Glenbard West.

Wheaton North 5, Glenbard West 4:

The Falcons (3-1) trailed 4-3 heading to the bottom of the eighth but rallied to victory behind a bases-loaded walk drawn by Michael Mannix. Ben Cary was the winning pitcher in relief. Hayden Carlson and Alex Martenson each had 2 hits for Glenbard West (3-2).

Schaumburg 4, Glenbard North 3:

The Panthers (3-2) rallied with 2 runs in the sixth inning but couldn't cap the comeback. Alex Barrett and Sam Ledbetter had 2 hits apiece.

North Oldham, Ky. 8, Wheaton North 3:

Michael Mannix, who took the loss on the mound, went 2-for-3 and Mike Muto homered for the Falcons (3-1).
