The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County invites gardeners to learn about organic gardening, composting and landscaping with native plants at four different workshops in April. Fullersburg Woods Nature Education Center, 3609 Spring Road, Oak Brook, offers: "Organic Gardening" from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. April 6; "Design Your Veggie Garden" from 11 a.m. to noon April 13; and "Worms Eat My Garbage: Vermicomposting Workshop" from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 23. "Organic Gardening" and "Design Your Veggie Garden" are free; "Worms East My Garbage: Vermicomposting Workshop" is $15 per person. All programs are open to gardeners 16 and older, and registration is required by calling (630) 850-8110. "Landscaping With Native Plants" also is offered from 7 to 8:30 p.m. April 8 at Mayslake Peabody Estate, 1717 W. 31st St., Oak Brook. Open to adults only, the cost is $5; register by calling (630) 206-9566.
