Generous giving at WDSRA event

We would like to thank the many friends, sponsors, volunteers and guests who showed their support for the Western DuPage Special Recreation Association by contributing to the Black & Red Bash earlier this month. We asked them to give from the heart. They answered the call … and then some.

With their support the silent auction tables were filled with spectacular packages, the anniversary raffle was well-stocked with great gifts, and the evening was dedicated to the enjoyment of our guests.

We would especially like to thank Dave McGowan, president of the DuPage Community Foundation who graciously served as our master of ceremonies for the evening.

Of course, the emphasis of the evening was to raise funds so that our families continue to reap the many benefits that special recreation through WDSRA brings to enrich their lives. Donations from that evening make it possible for WDSRA to continue to serve our participants, families, and communities every day. We are both humbled and inspired by your demonstration of support as $62,000 was raised that evening.

We thank you for your generosity and extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this year's auction a success.
