Hanover Township to host workshop for high school students

Hanover Township is inviting students to a workshop on decision-making.

Students from Bartlett, Elgin, South Elgin and Streamwood high schools are encouraged to participate in an interactive workshop Thursday, March 13.

Teenagers will learn how to respond to tough situations and weigh the consequences of their choices, said Nicole De Falco, a member of the township Committee on Youth.

"Like a real-time, multiplayer game without a reset button, life for today's high school students is a steady stream of snap decisions with steep consequences," De Falco said in a statement.

Pizza and light refreshments will be served during the event, running from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the library at Streamwood High School, 701 W. Schaumburg Road.

To register, email coy@hanover-township.org with the student's first and last name, high school and grade. For details, call the township's Department of Youth & Family Services at (630) 483-5799.
