Arcada to pay tribute to Shirley Temple

The Arcada Theatre will host a Shirley Temple Film Festival beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22.

The tribute at the Arcada, 105 E. Main St., St. Charles, will feature a career retrospective and four of the tap-dancing child star's most noted motion pictures: "Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm," "The Little Colonel," "Heidi" and "Poor Little Rich Girl."

Shirley Temple Black died last week at 85.

"Really, who doesn't love Shirley Temple?" Arcada president and CEO Ron Onesti asked.

Shirley Temple drink specials, a Shirley Temple photo gallery and a sing-a-long of Shirley Temple classics (including ""When I'm With You," "Baby, Take a Bow," and "Polly Wolly Doodle") will also be offered.

Adult admission costs $10 (for one or all films); tickets are $3 for kids younger than 10. For schedules and tickets, go to www.oshows.com or call (630) 962-7000.
