If there's money for beer, there's money for food

It breaks my heart to think that some children go to bed hungry, and so I believe the SNAP (formerly food stamps) program is an integral part of our society's safety net. But at the same time I get so angry when I see people finish paying for their groceries with SNAP coupons and then purchase a 24-pack of beer with cash.

I don't know how this can ever be legislatively prevented, but the recipients need to take some responsibility as citizens and parents. If you have money for big beer purchases then you don't need my tax-funded support for milk and bread.
