Dist. 59 kindergarten registration scheduled

Elk Grove School District 59 will host its kindergarten and new student registration for the 2014-2015 school year on Wednesday, Feb. 19.

A child whose fifth birthday falls on or before Sept. 1, 2014 is eligible to attend kindergarten starting in the 2014-2015 school year.

Salt Creek School offer a dual language Spanish-English kindergarten class, and Ridge Family Center for Learning will continue to offer full-day kindergarten classes. Both programs are open to all District 59 residents. The registration deadline for those choice programs is March 20.

Registration will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at all of the district's elementary schools, and registration will continue at each school from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. on days that school is in session.
