These sinners cast the first stone
These sinners cast the first stone
Marriage in the United States is first and foremost a legal process and second it can be a religious rite; but one does not have to be married in a church to be legally married but one does need a marriage license issued from the state to be legally married.
Therefore, for the separation of church and state, religion should stay out of the legal process and the state should stay out of the religious process.
Now a large number of so called Christians, especially church leaders, state that homosexuality and gay marriage is a sin and then they quote the Old Testament, and silly me, I thought Christians lived by Jesus teachings, the New Testament. And Jesus stated "Judge not for you will be judged" and "He who has not sinned cast the first stone" or do not these statements apply to The Pope, cardinals, bishops, priest, nuns, brothers, pastors, reverends and all other so called Christians all who are daily sinners?
Yet all these sinners do is judge and cast the first stone. Since the bible teaches us that we are all sinners and the church states they can't marry gays because they are sinners then the church can't marry anyone since we all live in sin.
The New Testament states "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believe in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." It doesn't say except gays or sinners.
