Common Core a deceptive Trojan Horse

According to a recent Gallup poll 72 percent of the American people view big government as a bigger threat to this nation than big business or big labor. But what about big government’s involvement in education through the establishment of nationalized education known as Common Core?

The program imposes national standards and curriculum on all 46 states who initially signed up in 2010. State governors were given financial incentives to accept Common Core, sight unseen. Common Core follows a globalist vision toward a totalitarian world perceived more than a century ago. It is the final state of taking complete control of the public school curriculum with the intent to mold young minds for a socialist/communist system.

Common core involves rewriting American history and calling it social studies, undermining national sovereignty, promoting environmentalism, and requiring multiculturalism.

Parental rights over children are threatened through what children are taught. A personal database will track over 400 criteria on each child. Cursive handwriting will no longer be taught. Core mathematics standards are written to reflect very low expectation, and English standards remove much classical English literature.

Common Core was written by a team of five writers, none of whom had any education experience teaching in K-12 schools.

Nationalized education is contrary to states’ rights and the U.S. Constitution. It is best left up to states and to local and parental control. Our Founding Fathers purposely left the word education out of the Constitution, realizing that through indoctrination and propaganda, a despotic government and dictators can take over a nation.

Beware of Common Core. Know what your child is learning. Common Core will not improve education standards but instead will dumb them down.
