Dealer: Chicago gun sales 'a business opportunity'

Firearms dealers are welcoming a judge's ruling calling the city's ban on gun sales unconstitutional.

Barry Soskin owns a suburban gun shop named Article II Range. He calls the potential for Chicago sales “a business opportunity in a great city.”

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel has until Monday to file a notice of appeal. The mayor says he strongly disagrees with the ruling Monday from U.S. District Judge Edmond E. Chang. But it's unclear whether Emanuel will defend the ban with an appeal or instead seek restrictions on where gun stores could locate.

Stephanie Gordon of Chicago wants the city to appeal or, short of that, to institute restrictive zoning for dealers. She's with Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.
