Chicago’s Roosevelt University opens dance studio

Roosevelt University is opening a new dance studio for its theater students.

The Chicago school will open the facility Tuesday. The new 13,000-square-foot studio is equipped to train students in ballet, jazz, modern dance, circus skills and other dance movements. The studio is part of the Theatre Conservatory at Chicago College of Performing Arts. It’s the newest addition to Roosevelt’s downtown Chicago campus.

Roosevelt has a new musical theatre in dance program. The university has 17 undergraduate students from across the U.S. and Canada who are in the dance program’s inaugural class.
