Fire does $5,000 worth of damages to Glen Ellyn home
Glen Ellyn firefighters put out a small fire Friday on the 200 block of Oak Street. Firefighters responded to a report of a possible structure fire at 4 p.m.
When crews arrived, they found smoke coming from the attic of a one-story house.
They put the fire out after keeping it confined to the attic.
Damage is estimated at $5,000. There were no injuries, and the building is still habitable.
The fire is under investigation.
